Nia Tucker
Freelance Writer and Student
I’m Nia (they/she), long-island American. As a freeIance journalist have a background in writing on film, culture and social justice issues on race, gender and sexuality.
As a previous intern for renowned nonprofit press BOA Editions, I have experience editing, proofreading, and marketing within the publishing industry. I’ve also worked positions for the literary magazines Fields Magazine and Winter Tangerine.
Currently, I'm enrolled at Emerson College in Boston studying Writing, Literature and Publishing, and have been accepted into the major's 4+1 program where I can finish both my undergrad and Master's degree within a few short years.
When I’m not reading or writing, I spend copious amounts of time fighting with people on Twitter about capitalism or rewatching my favorite horror movies.
